-plating of the face is different
-the way the numbers are located on the face might be different
-the way the minute and hour hand move (don’t glide along face)
-fake gucci is lighter
-the links in the band or bracelet will be hollow
Thousands of different Gucci watch models have been made over the years. Unless you’re willing to chase down pictures of the specific model you’re investigating and compare details carefully, there is no single, easy way that I know of to authenticate designer quartz watches.
The authentic designer department store watches are typically manufactured offshore at very low cost, just like the replicas. Consequently, it is quite easy to build very accurate replicas. In some cases, the replicas may even be manufactured by the same firm contracted to supply watches or parts to some of the designer companies.
