Question by Rose: Is my Gucci watch real or fake?
I was at a charity shop this afternoon and was looking around and found a Gucci watch for $ 10. It appears to be older, probably from some time in 90′s, its a round face with a leather band, on the front there is a logo and then Quartz, and swiss made in very small writing at the base. On the back of the watch it says switzerland, goldplaited, all stainless steel, a serial number . The front has two small diamonds. Real or fake?

No real way to tell unless you take it to a Gucci store. However, check the stitching on the band. If it is perfectly straight and even that is a good sign. Try taking it to an upscale department store (Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue) and asking their opinion if you have those in your area.

From what you describe, it sounds real.
Mock-ups don’t ususally have serial numbers.
Check E-Bay and compare what you have to some
of the vintage Gucci. You might find a match or
something similar to what you have.
Some of my best buys were in Salvation Army (Valentino
Coat) or off track vintage shops, so it’s not surprising
that you found something of value. Even if the watch turns
out to be a fake, it sounds nice. After all, for ten bucks
it’s a steal, either way!
